I haven't got much to say these days. I still have yet to write out stuff for my portfolio and I'm planning to procrastinate on it JUST BECAUSE. I will get to it...soon. Orz I can't.
So a few days ago, I decided to try for semi-realism AGAIN. I'm quite satisfied with it until I get to the hair =_= I.DON'T.UNDERSTAND.HAIR.LOGIC.AT.ALL. That is why I don't draw detailed hair. But for the sake of this "realism" practice I will try my best! Seriously, I need to learn how to draw a PROPER human face soon or I will suffer on the next semester. But you know, I'm too lazy to practice sometimes.
My result thus far:

I made it darker in PS. It look better IMO. Originally, he had no glasses but he look plain without them so I included the glasses. I'm not too sure if I want that kind of pose because it looks gay and I might take away the glasses if I find it too hard too paint but whatever. It's just a painting practice. Seriously, kudos to those who have lots of patience to draw realistic or detailed stuff. I have no patience and I am pretty sure that I will get sick of this painting and will put it away VERY SOON. Just like my other works.
I can't make a man look manly.
Probably my "best" semi-realism painting to date. Once I get better with this thing you call realism, I'm going to laugh when I look back at my noob attempts.
Alright,I'm off. I'm going to continue painting this and baw
i am who i am
